DAY 1:
Discover the impressive beauty of Lake Titicaca in this captivating excursion, while enjoying a beautiful view on your tour of the lake aboard the kayaks.
Our team will pick you up from your hotel (downtown) to go to the bay of Esteves Island. There, the guide will give instructions on the use of kayak equipment and immediately begins the adventure in the highest navigable lake in the world. During our tour we will observe beautiful landscapes, a variety of flora and fauna.
We will arrive at the floating islands of Uros by kayak; there, we will appreciate the charming houses built with totora, which is an aquatic plant that grows in the lake. Later, we will board a boat to our next destination.
Amantani Island offers a complete panorama of the extraordinary ancestral culture, since you will live a unique experience living with a local family. You can also enjoy a beautiful sunset at 4.900 meters above sea level, when you visit one of the ceremonial centers of the island, Pachatata located in the top part of the island.
DAY 2:
After tasting a delicious Andean breakfast in company of our host family, we will say goodbye to them and leave for our next destination.
On Taquile Island, named as "the most beautiful island in all Lake Titicaca", we will start a hike towards the main square of the island, from where you have a privileged view of the Lake of the Incas. In addition, we will have the opportunity to appreciate the symbolic textiles, with high cultural value, made by the population.
After enjoying a delicious typical lunch made with local products, we will return to the city of Puno, arriving around at 15:30 p.m. Our team will transfer you to your hotel.
