OVERVIEW
At 5 km from Puno city, the Uros floating islands are located specifically on Lake Titicaca, a group of islands that continue practicing the tradition of artisanal fishing, hunting wild birds and collecting duck eggs.
At the beginning of the 21st century, the firsts floating islands welcomed tourism, beginning to direct their activities towards this activity and developing them over time, making it an obligatory destination in the trip of all tourists who visit Puno City.

Discover the impressive Floating Islands of Uros, the home of the self-named "sons of the lake", who inhabit on the waters of Lake Titicaca.
According to the chosen schedule, the guide will pick you up from the hotel where you are staying to transfer you to the port of Puno, where you will board the boat with direction to Uros Floating Islands. You will visit two of these while the guide provides information about the islands.
- First Island: Here the guide will explain you about the activities carried out by the population, as well as the history, culture and building of these islands based on totora. You can also take a ride (optional) on a totora raft called “Mercedes Benz”.
- Second Island: Known as the capital island of Uros, it is an island that has a small craft market, grocery stores (snacks and drinks), a restaurant and basic services.
Between these 2 islands, the family will offer you a short ride on the totora boats (optional, additional cost between S/.10.00 - S/.15.00 Soles).
Once the visit is over, you will return to the city of Puno. At your arrive at the port of the city, our team will be waiting for transfer you to your hotel.
