UYUNI SALT FLATS FULL DAY TOUR FROM LA PAZ

Presentation in the bus station in La Paz a day before the tour. At 8:45 pm. Bus trip La Paz - Uyuni.

Our adventure to the Salar de Uyuni starts at 10:30 a.m. visiting the train cemetery, located one kilometer away, where we’ll appreciate an open-air historical museum of the locomotives that many years ago gave life to the town of Uyuni.

From the leaving of the town, the landscape doesn’t stop surprising all the way to Colchani, where people work in the processing of salt, so we’ll appreciate mounds and blocks of salt (small salt pyramids that the townspeople make to dry and then process the salt).

We’ll also visit the market and if you like, you can buy crafts made with salt or textiles, llama or alpaca wool is a good place to choose one, then prepare to see the wonderful Uyuni Salt Flats which has more than 10,000 square kilometers.

Once on the vast surface of the largest salt desert in the world, we’ll visit the salt hotel (museum), and the salt water eyes of the salt flats and then we will have lunch. Later we’ll head to the center to visit the Incahuasi Island, a desert oasis of volcanic rock, covered with giant cactus, some with more than 100 years of life, the only sign of life in the middle of this sea of salt, from the top part the island becomes an extraordinary view of the white salt plain.

In the afternoon the tour continues through the salt flat until reaching the isolated Atulcha area, a place where we will see the hotel and furniture made of salt blocks, there we are going to enjoy the wonderful sunset. we will Come back to Uyuni
