ITINERARY
CUSCO IMPERIAL CITY TOUR
The tour will begin with a pickup from your hotel. We will start by visiting the Main Square, where you can view the Cusco Cathedral, which houses colonial monuments of great artistic value. Next, we will continue to Coricancha, where you will appreciate the blend of Inca constructions with polished stone walls and the Spanish church built on top of them.
Afterward, we will visit the Sacsayhuamán fortress, an important Inca ceremonial center. The tour will continue to Qenqo, known as the labyrinth for its intricate pathways, where you will see an ancient ceremonial altar, likely the final resting place of Pachacuteq.
Then, we will visit Puca Pucara, the "red fortress," which served as a control center for those entering Cusco; travelers would purify themselves here before entering the sacred city.
The tour will conclude at Tambomachay, where you will admire the advanced Inca hydraulic engineering. We will finish the tour near the Main Square of Cusco.
