HOMESTAY TOUR UROS, LLACHÓN, AND AMANTANI 3D/2N

Day 1: Puno – Floating Islands of the Uros – Llachón Peninsula

The tour begins with pickup from your hotel in downtown Puno and transfer to the port. We then head to the floating islands of the Uros, where you’ll witness firsthand the reed construction techniques and learn about this unique way of life.

We continue sailing toward the Llachón Peninsula, a cultural gem of the lake. After a two-hour journey, local families warmly welcome us and guide us to their rural homes, specially prepared to offer an authentic experiential stay.

Later, the hosts will share their customs through craft demonstrations and traditional knowledge. In the afternoon, you can enjoy activities such as kayaking, sailing in traditional boats, or artisanal fishing, all organized by the families themselves. The day concludes with a homemade dinner at 6:30 p.m., where you’ll also learn more about Andean natural medicine.

Day 2: Llachón – Amantaní Island

This day begins with a traditional breakfast, followed by a demonstration on the use of medicinal plants. Depending on the season, you’ll be able to take part in daily activities such as farming or weaving.

We then set sail for Amantaní Island. After 45 minutes of navigation, we arrive at the port and walk for half an hour to the rural homes. Afterwards, we enjoy an Andean lunch prepared by the host families. In the afternoon, we hike to the ceremonial centers of Pachamama and Pachatata, where the landscape offers unforgettable views of the lake and the Andes. The day ends with a traditional dinner and the option to join an evening of music and dance with the locals.

Day 3: Amantaní – Taquile Island – Puno

After breakfast, we say goodbye to the families and head to Taquile Island. Upon arrival, we make our way to the main square, observing along the way the traditional weavings and the communal lifestyle that defines the island.

At midday, we enjoy lunch at a typical restaurant before heading back to the port for the return to Puno. The tour ends with a transfer to your hotel, leaving you with not just memories, but deep experiences of the living culture of Titicaca.
