The Tiahuanaco archaeological complex was the center of one of the most significant ancient civilizations, renowned for its impressive architecture. Among its most notable structures are the Kalasasaya and Puma Punku, The Gate of the Sun, a monolith adorned with detailed reliefs of the God of the Staff, and the Akapana pyramid, with its seven levels aligned with the cardinal points, are remarkable examples of its sophisticated engineering.
TOUR PUNO - INCA UYO - TIAHUANACO - PUNO
At 6:30 a.m., our guide and private transportation will pick up our clients (passengers) from their hotel in Puno and depart for Chucuito. We will visit the fertility temple “Inca Uyo” and the main square of the small town of Chucuito. Then, we will head to Aramu Muru or Hayu Marca to see the inter-dimensional gate, a stone forest, and take a short walk and photographs.
At 10:30 a.m., we will arrive at the border in Desaguadero, Peru-Bolivia border, with an estimated waiting time of approximately 30 minutes. Verification and control will be carried out at the migration offices of both countries. After a 45-minute journey, we will arrive at the archaeological complex of Tiahuanaco. We will visit Puma Punku, and at 12:30 p.m. (Bolivian time), we will have lunch in Tiahuanaco.
After lunch, we will have a guided tour of the most important places in the Tiahuanaco archaeological complex, including: The Gate of the Sun, the Stone Museum, the Akapana pyramids, the Semi-Subterranean Temple, Keri Cala, Putuni, Laka Kollu, and Wila Pukara. The visit will last 1 hour and 45 minutes.
At 4:30 p.m. (Bolivian time), we will depart for Desaguadero to return to the city of Puno. The travel time is 2 hours and 30 minutes. At 7:00 p.m., we will arrive in the city of Puno and transfer to your hotels.
