TOURIST PACKAGE IN AREQUIPA AND COLCA CANYON 3D/2N

DAY 1: CITY TOUR AREQUIPA

The starting point will be at the airport or bus station depending on your arrival time. We will organize your reception and transfer to your hotel in Arequipa.

At a coordinated time, we will pick you up from your hotel and start our tour with one of the most attractive viewpoints in the city, called "Carmen Alto," where we will appreciate the pre-Incan terraces and traditional agriculture of the White City.

We will then move to the Yanahuara district to view the White City in all its magnitude from its viewpoint and the three imposing volcanoes surrounding it: El Misti, Chachani, and Pichu Pichu. Continuing with our tour, we will head to the San Lázaro neighborhood, the oldest in Arequipa.

Next, we will visit the Mansion of the Founder, an 18th-century viceroyalty building that houses art pieces from various periods and collectible objects.

(Optional Visit) The Santa Catalina Monastery is the most important and impressive religious monument in Peru. Characterized by its narrow streets, gardens, and plazas with Spanish names that recall the old neighborhoods of Granada and Seville. We will then return to your hotel.

DAY 2: AREQUIPA – CHIVAY

At 07:30 a.m., our transportation will pick you up from your hotel, and we will start the excursion towards the northeast of Arequipa, reaching Pampa Cañahuas (Aguada Blanca and Salinas National Reserve), habitat of beautiful South American camels like vicuñas and guanacos. In the Tojra bofedales, we will see a variety of migratory birds, including flamingos, Andean gulls, and wild ducks.

Continuing our journey, we will reach the Volcanoes Viewpoint, the highest point of the road (4,800 m.a.s.l.), where we can see much of the Western Cordillera.

We will arrive in Chivay around 01:30 p.m., where we will have lunch and check into our accommodation. We will visit the popular thermal baths at La Calera, a paradise surrounded by mountains where the water flows from inside the hills at a maximum temperature of 80º C. It is mixed with cold water in a pool to reach 35º C, the ideal temperature for a relaxing bath, after which we will return to our accommodation.

DAY 3: CHIVAY – COLCA CANYON

At 06:00 a.m., after breakfast, we will head to the Cruz del Cóndor Natural Viewpoint to appreciate the canyon and the impressive flight of the condors.

During our journey, we will enjoy beautiful views of the Colca River, pre-Columbian tombs, and agricultural terraces over a thousand years old. Our local guide will explain aspects of the different indigenous groups that inhabited and still inhabit the Colca Valley.

At the Cruz del Cóndor Viewpoint, we will have approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to admire the natural beauty of the canyon and observe the majestic flight of the condors, as well as take short walks around the area.

We will then return to Chivay, visiting some native towns along the way, such as Pinchollo, Maca, and Yanque, which have beautiful colonial churches. In Chivay, we will make one last stop for lunch. Finally, we will return to Arequipa, arriving approximately at 5:00 p.m. According to your departure schedule, whether to the airport or bus station, transportation from your hotel in Arequipa is included.
